I think AD(H)D symptoms appear in far too many other conditions to make it a positively identifiable condition in and of its self. In my opinion, all but the most extreme cases centering on a debilitating inability to focus are merely traits associated with some other oddity in the workings of the mind.

Anyhow, that's just the opinion of a little guy who lives in his remarkably unusual brain.

I tested positive for ADHD earlier this year. I actually maxed out the chart in a couple of different areas. But then I went to Career Services on my campus and took a personality test. My personality occurs in less than 1% of the population and people with my personality type are often misdiagnosed for ADHD.
